From Uzbekistan to Manchester: Ramzan & Abdurakhim’s International Players Experience

At Manchester Futsal Club Youth Academy, we continue to welcome ambitious young players from across the world through our Manchester International Experience - a unique, immersive development programme built around coaching, cultural exposure, and individual growth.

Recently, we welcomed two talented players from Uzbekistan - Makhmurov Ramzan and Rakhimjonov Abdurakhim - to Manchester, where they spent a week fully immersed in one of the most iconic football and futsal environments in the world.

A Week Inside Manchester’s Football & Futsal Culture

From day one, Ramzan and Abdurakhim were exposed to the identity and standards that define futsal and football in Manchester. As part of their visit, the boys were treated to a futsal game alongside our first team players, giving them first-hand experience of the speed, physicality, and decision-making required at elite level.

Throughout the week, both players followed a tailored individual training programme, designed specifically around their needs, strengths, and areas for development. The sessions focused on technical detail, confidence on the ball, tactical understanding, and playing with intensity.

In addition to their individual work, Ramzan and Abdurakhim trained with our academy players to understand and experience the level of futsal and football in England. Training alongside players who compete within top English academy allowed them to compete, adapt, and push themselves in a demanding environment.

Premier-Level Coaching at the Core

The programme was delivered by Raducio King, Head of Coaching at Manchester Futsal Youth Academy, who brings over 10 years of experience working within elite academy football environments.

Raducio led the players’ journey from start to finish, ensuring every session was purposeful, challenging, and aligned with the demands of high-level futsal and football.

“Having players come to Manchester for a tailored individual programme is about more than just futsal or football,” said Raducio King.

“It’s about immersion -understanding the standards, the culture, and the mentality of this city. Ramzan and Abdurakhim embraced the challenge, trained with intensity, and really immersed themselves in the experience.”

Experiencing the Footballing City of Manchester

The Manchester International Experience goes beyond the training court. During their stay, the boys enjoyed a surprise visit to the iconic Etihad Stadium, where they watched Manchester City live - a memorable moment inside one of world football’s most impressive arenas.

Adding to the experience, Ramzan and Abdurakhim also had the opportunity to meet Abdukodir Khusanov, a rising star of the Uzbekistan national team. The meeting provided inspiration and a powerful connection between their journey from home and the highest levels of the professional game.

Bridging Countries Through Futsal and Football

Reflecting on the visit, Ilya Ovechkin, Academy Director of Manchester Futsal Youth Academy, said:
