Manchester Futsal Club and Manchester United Come Together for a Successful U9s Futsal Tournament

Manchester Futsal Youth Academy and Manchester United joined forces to deliver a fantastic U9s futsal tournament at the home of Manchester Futsal Club - The National Cycling Centre. The collaboration brought together some of the country’s most exciting young players for a full day of competition, development, and enjoyment.

The tournament welcomed teams from West Yorkshire Futsal, Sala Soccer, Bloomsbury Futsal, Manchester Futsal Club, and Manchester United, creating a vibrant atmosphere and a brilliant showcase of talent. From the first kick to the final whistle, the court was filled with energy, excitement, and impressive moments of skill from all teams.

Players embraced the true spirit of futsal - freedom, expression, quick decision-making, and creativity. It was clear to everyone watching just how much the players enjoyed the challenge, the competitiveness, and the chance to perform on a professional futsal court inside the iconic 3,000-seat National Cycling Centre.

After a series of exciting games, Manchester United Pre-Academy were crowned tournament champions.

The work between Manchester Futsal Club and Manchester United played a key role in bringing this experience to life. Both clubs share a commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for young players in Manchester and beyond.

Academy Director, Ilya Ovechkin, praised the day’s success:
