Manchester Futsal Club Selected as England Futsal Youth Development Partner

Manchester Futsal Club is proud to announce its official appointment as an inaugural Youth Development Partner with England Futsal - a significant milestone for both the club and the continued growth of futsal across the North West and nationally.

This partnership forms part of England Futsal’s long-term mission to work collaboratively with clubs, private providers, and educational institutions to create a more meaningful, accessible, and sustainable youth competition structure across the country. Following an extensive open recruitment process during late summer and autumn 2025 - which attracted interest from 55 organisations nationwide - just 25 partners were selected for the first season. Manchester Futsal Club is proud to be among this group.

What Is the Youth Development Partner Programme?

Youth Development Partners will deliver a programme of local, regional, and national events aimed at increasing access, participation, and progression opportunities for young players. Events fall into three key strands:

🔹 Activate Series

Local, entry-level futsal festivals designed to introduce young players and teams to the game in a fun, inclusive environment, with a strong emphasis on ages 8–14.

🔹 Challenger Series

Regional competition opportunities for mature futsal clubs seeking more competitive experiences for their players, focused on ages 11–16.

🔹 National Youth Cup

England Futsal’s national pathway competition, with Youth Development Partners hosting local qualifying tournaments leading into the National Youth Cup Finals in May 2026, for players aged 13–16.

Manchester Futsal Club: Taking Action in the Region

Manchester Futsal Club has already taken decisive steps within this new role, delivering Under-14s and Under-16s Regional Qualifying Competitions as part of the National Youth Cup pathway.

These events provide young players and teams across Greater Manchester and the surrounding region with:

• Access to high-quality, well-structured futsal competition

• A clear pathway into national-level events

• Exposure to the principles, standards, and culture of elite futsal
